Abstract
Many previous works deal with different resource allocation schemes and their performance, but little work has been done to implement the auction process and to study the influence of the information exchanging process on the performance of the secondary network. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first MAC layer implementation of the real-time spectrum auction in the network simulator. We believe that our implementations and simulation results can be very useful for further investigation of other types of spectrum auctions.
