Abstract
Although it has been shown that diamond wears in a diffusion wear limited realm for single point turning of Ti 6-4, a diffusion wear limited mechanism was not observed in diamond EP wheels. This information may aid in modeling future creep feed grinding processes, and in selecting which Ti 6-4 engine components can be economically manufactured using diamond EP wheels.
