Abstract
The structure of cyclo-oligomers and polymers are characterized. by their infrared, Raman, ultraviolet and nuclear magnetic resonance spectra. The thermal properties of these molecules were studied using differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetry. The number-avarage molecular weight of decaphenylcyclopentasilane and a chemical-transport-grown polymer were estimated by vapor phase osmometry.
