Abstract
In this paper, we offer some analysis of Joel David Hamkins's work 'The Set-Theoretic Multiverse' and take a look at some of the views concerning the existence of mathematical objects (and the kind of existence which they have). In particular, we will discuss the forcing, the method employed by Cohen to show that the negation of the Continuum Hypothesis is consistent with the axioms of ZFC, an object involved with a certain type of forcing, the so-called V-generic filter and what various schools of philosophers might say about this object and forcing proper.
