Abstract
Study data are taken from two debris-inducing events: the first (covered in Studies 1 and 2) concerns debris removal operations following a series of highly destructive tornadoes that passed through the State of Alabama in 2011; the second (covered in Study 3) concerns debris removal operations following Hurricane Sandy in New York State in 2012. For the Alabama case, data are available on various objective characteristics of the debris loads hauled by hundreds of teams working under dozens of contractors during the first 100 days of the mission. For the New York case, data are available on reported activities in the design and execution of the overall operation.
