Abstract
In this thesis we discuss the model from the paper “Polarization and Tipping Points” which the author of this thesis coauthored. We go into depth about the decisioning and reasoning behind multiple features of the model and discuss possible future improvements and potential future research. During this, we highlight some of my own specific contributions to the model and paper. In addition to giving background to the model we used to analyze political polarization, we give a background in the current academic literature surrounding political polarization as a whole.
