Abstract
This research adds to the understanding of radiation exposure from CBCT procedures performed in conjunction with administering radiotherapy. In addition, utilization of Monte Carlo- based radiation transport methods in combination with computational human phantoms is proven effective in estimating organ dose from clinical procedures. Future work include incorporating pediatric phantoms to scanner models, and improving simulation computation efficiency through the use of GPUs.
