Abstract
We develop emissions functions by using regression analysis on historical hourly emissions and heat input measurements reported to EPA to estimate heat rates as well as NOx and SO2 emissions for fuel-fired generators. 8 fossil fuel units of 4 different types - coal, natural gas steam, natural gas simple cycle and natural gas combined cycle are considered in the analysis.
